Google AdWords for Chiropractors – Does it Make Sense Still in 2018?

In this post, I’ve got nothing to pitch you or sell you.

I want to only answer one simple question and that’s is a Chiropractic Google AdWords campaign worthwhile still in 2018, or should you be looking at alternative channels like Facebook, YouTube and the like?

What’s the Potential of New Chiropractic Patients in Your City?

So the first thing I always look at when speaking with a prospective new chiropractic client who wants to generate new patients is, what is the potential in your area to acquire new patients online.

How do we determine this? We look at keyword search data that we can access. Below is a small screenshot of a few cities and the potential that exists for chiropractic patients in those cities.

The number in the second column is the average number of people who search the phrase in the first column each month.

Now by no means is this an exhaustive list of all the Chiropractor Google AdWords keywords that you could target. We just use this data as a starting point to determine an answer to the question “IS this worthwhile exploring or not?”.

How to Get In Front of Those Prospective Chiro Patients

There are two ways that you can get in front of those prospective new patients with a Chiropractor AdWords campaign.

The first is the Google Ads you’re definitely familiar with. Those ads that appear above the map and search results when Google just about anything. Here’s an example screenshot of what you see in most cities when you do a search for a chiropractor.

The other way to get your practice in front of those new prospective patients is by placing an ad on the map with mobile searches.

This is a reasonably new feature of Adwords and many chiros are not doing it yet, but it works like Gang Busters for mobile searches.

See in the screenshot below, the ad that’s on the map. Pretty neat huh! This helps you advertising to neighboring suburbs and even towns that you wouldn’t be able to get your practice rank for otherwise.

Now, you might say “There are already four people advertising in there, how am I to break in and acquire patients with AdWords?“.
